Former Miss Namibia Steffi van Wyk and South African actor Clint Brink are officially husband and wife.
New Era Weekend has learned that the duo tied the knot in a rather low-key manner in front of close friends and family at the Askari Game Lodge in Magaliesberg, South Africa. When New Era Weekend contacted Steffi for comments on the ceremony and her love, she did not respond.
An online South African entertainment website, zalebs.com reported that the Namibian beauty queen and Brink said their “I do’s” during a romantic wedding ceremony on Tuesday.
Clint was said to be the ultimate dashing groom in a beige suit, while his bride wore a beautiful lace gown with intricate beadwork.
According to reports in the You Magazine in SA, Brink who is known for being romantic at heart first noticed Steffi on Instagram when she represented Namibia at the Miss World beauty pageant last year – then the couple started chatting on social media and when she visited SA at the beginning of the year they met up for lunch – and since have been inseparable in spite of the distance between them.
The site reports that the couple had been engaged for a month after they started dating earlier this year and had also been counting down to their big day on social media.
Reports in SA claim the wedding ceremony was attended by only about 25 close friends and family members.
A week before tying the knot the gorgeous brunette was counting down the days and took to Instagram to share her excitement.
“As I embark on this new journey, I know where my strength comes from. It comes from above. Eight days left until I get married to man I have been praying for my life. I can’t wait to spend forever with you @Clintonthebrink. May God’s hand be on us, as we go out into the world to gather his children, forever is more important than momentarily pleasure.”
“Yes, there may be thorns in the road, but you know God will carry you when times get tough. Thorns have nothing on us. You are highly favoured and loved,” she continued.
Brink is well known for his soapie roles as Shawn Jacobs in Backstage, as Bradley Paulse in Generations and as Tino Martins in Scandal. He also starred in the SABC2 variety comedy show Colour TV, in 2011. Brink has acted in the films Dollars and White Pipes, Swop! And Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. In 2014 he had a starring role in the second season of the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville.
