Wilberforce “Black Mamba” Shihepo will travel to the UK to confront British champion, Callum “The One” Johnson for the prestigious Commonwealth Light Heavyweight title.
The fight, slated for the 24th of this month, is promoted by one of the biggest promoters in the world, Matchroom Promotions, and takes place at the famous Manchester Arena.
Shihepo boasts a record of 36 fights, 28 wins, 8 losses and comes into this fight with two consecutive wins. The flamboyant hard-punching Namibian is determined to add the lucrative Commonwealth title to his name.
Title-holder Johnson comes into the fight with a remarkable squeaky clean record of wins from the same number of bouts and will be out to guard his excellent resume.
Despite his somewhat patchy record, Shihepo is an experienced fighter, and will not take any chances against his undefeated opponent.
According to Shihepo’s handler, Nestor Tobias, the boxer will go out there with one thing in mind and that is to register a win.
“Of course, we are aware of the fact that fighting beyond Namibian borders is never easy but the boy has done it before on a few occasions and wants to make Namibia proud,” charged a confident Nestor.
