Swakopmund – Minister of ICT Tjekero Tweya, could not heap enough praises on all the sponsors that stood firm in support for the annual ICT Minister’s Golf Day.

Tweya made specific reference to New Era Publication, NBC as well as NBC TV, Radio and print media partners of the ICT Minister’s Golf Day.

He further commended the event’s platinum sponsors, MTN Business and MTC for their dedication and commitment to increase alignment with noble ICT initiatives such as the ICT Minister’s golf day.

The humorous lawmaker left no stone unturned in applauding the gold and silver sponsors, Air Namibia, Bidvest Namibia, MultiChoice Namibia, NWR and Telecom Namibia for their profound corporate social responsibility programmes in associating their brands along side the ICT Minister’s Golf Day.

Tweya emphasized the importance of ICT and golf, adding that they are indeed breakthrough recipes to rapidly develop and grow the ICT sector in the country.

“Golf creates the most conducive platform for business leaders and budget holders engaging frequently on the golf course clinching important and strategic business deals.

He reckoned if one pushes ICT on the golf course to land on the executive agenda, one can only expect a breakthrough outcome culminating from the breakthrough merger of ICT and golf.

“The ICT Minister’s Golf Day is formed on the basis of the Harambee Prosperity Plan and we deliberately adopted an inclusive approach ensuring that no golfer or non-golfer feels excluded from this noble ICT Minister’s Golf Day”.
In conclusion, Tweya noted it’s imperative that the ICT Minister’s Golf Day roves around the best golf courses in the country.

The modernized Omeya Golf Course, south of Namibia’s commercial hub Windhoek will play host to the 3rd edition of the annual ICT Minister’s Golf Day on the 27th of April, next year.
